ITINERARY

Day 1:

Get collected on route to Scotland by our professional driver and other Addictive Adventurers to journey North of the wall and enter the land of the wildlings and Highland folk (I can say this because I am from Inverness). We’ll stop en route for battered mars bars and a Haggis supper…  if you fancy trying the local delicacies! Then comes the challenge briefing, dinner and a toast to the days that lie ahead. You’ll stay in a hotel for the first night to ensure you have a good night’s sleep, ready to start your challenge early the next day…

Day 2:

After a hearty breakfast we set off around 7am. To tackle Ben Nevis the highest Mountain in the UK! Standing at 1345metres (4,411 feet) and having the start point almost at sea level this is no easy day! Our qualified Mountain leaders will support you, set a steady achievable pace and point out interesting things when you need to catch your breath. We don’t try to do our 3 peaks in a 24 hour rush so you can enjoy the routes, take in the breath taking 360 panoramas and make the most of summit selfies and the beautiful country you are in!

What’s the Extra Challenge? We design these to suit the group but it could be anything from a dip in the sea, Tyrolean river crossing or extreme protein pancake making on the summit! You will be handed your Challenges brief on the bus so you can plan ahead and choose the best times to achieve your Addictive extra challenges!

Jump in the bus to head south passing through Glen Coe, Rannoch Moor and alongside Loch Lomond stopping to take on our daring Tree top challenge to secure your challenge addiction.

Enroute you could see eagles, grouse, red deer and, if you’re lucky, the infamous and elusive hairy Haggis!!! (Or Black Grouse).

You will then be driven gracefully through the night to the Lake District.

Day 3:

Wake up to the Western Lake District.

Scafell Pike stands at 978m 3209 feet and is the highest Mountain in England. The start point in Wasdale gives an established path to start with but soon turns to mountainous Scree and boulder field as you ascend. There is a remote a remote feel to the start of this trip as the valley has been carved out by glaciers over millions of years and the view is restricted until you gain some height… Stunning Lake District vistas and views out to the Irish sea are your reward for reaching the summit, but don’t forget your extra challenge before descending or you may miss out on the Challenge reward…

Jump in the bus to whisk you away to the South and the land of Dragons and Welsh tea cakes and of course the final mountain.

Tonight you will stay in a lovely hotel at the base of Snowdon and prepare for your last challenge…

Day 4:

Welcome to the land of ‘ARAFS’ a mysterious animal you have to slow down for many times before you reach the foot of Wales’s highest peak! Snowdon stands at 1085 metres a daunting 3560 feet at this point and your final challenge before you can rest your legs and post your 3 peaks Addictive Adventure Challenge tweets and Instagram posts…

Take the Pyg or the Old Miners track up past the beautiful Llyns (Lakes) of Llyn Lyydaw and Llyn Glaslyn. Or – enjoy a swim (depending on your challenge briefs) and tackle the steep zig zag to join the final ridge to the final summit!

Celebrate your efforts and toast with the summit ravens at your incredible achievements. You are now well and truly Addicted (we hope) and you can look around at all the other mountain days available to you and your newly made friends. When you are ready make your way down. See all the stunning rock formations, flora and fauna you missed on the way up during your summit fever rush! Take time to unwind before your journeys home…

We suggest some fresh clothes, socks and sandwiches await you if you are in a rush. Or – let us arrange a hotel or B&B with hot tub, (just ask). Relax and enjoy Snowdonia with your waiting family and/or friends…

Well done!
