ITINERARY

Day 1:

Saddle up and brace yourself for an action-packed trip full of slides, jumps and white water!

We book you in around Llanberis. If you arrive early, you’ll find places to visit and stunning mountain views around you.

Day 2:

Wake up refreshed and ready to go. After enjoying a hearty cooked Welsh breakfast (or continental) you’ll take a short trip into the mountains. Your first epic day of adventure awaits! Meet your instructors and fellow adventurers at the start point given to you in your welcome email.

To start, we’ll hand out kit and give you all you need for the trip. This includes wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and… courage! Don’t worry – day 1 is designed to ease you into it.

Ascending your way through the white-water world, we’ll slip, slide, scramble and climb our way up the gorge. Along the way you will be challenged, facing tests of nerve and character… the more you say yes the more we will push you!

Once we all arrive safely back at the vehicles we will change and head back to the campsite. Enjoy a well-earned drink and hot shower. Share stories over dinner and into the evening with your other adventurers if you wish.

Day 3:

Today starts as a repeat of yesterday morning, but with the addition of learning about and using harnesses, karabiners and cows tails… moo!

The second day of exciting canyon-based escapades begins with a dunk to get your wetsuit wet and working again. This is a new venue with very different challenges and experiences. The canyon consists of huge white water slides, abseils and massive jumps!

Test your nerve, learn how to abseil and feel the rush as you fly off vertical edges into the deep pools below. This canyon has a heart-pumping walk out so don’t worry about being too cold. No-one leaves this canyon walk out cold… trust us!

After the successful completion of our second day we will return to the campsite for our final debrief and to say our goodbyes over a nice cold drink!

*Please note, unless you have asked to stay an extra night (we can do this for you) you will have already checked out so you will not have access to your tent.)

Snowdonia Gorge & Canyon Weekend

What’s the weather like?
The weather is changeable in the mountains, so we advise you to pack everything listed on the kit list. If water levels are really high from prolonged rain, we reserve the right to change venues to something that doesn’t represent Niagara falls… you’ll still have fun and go to some amazing places.
What’s the food like?
Breakfast is either a cooked breakfast or continental with tea, coffee and fruit juice.
How fit do I need to be?
Canyoning is a full body workout in neoprene. This adventure is suitable for beginners with a good sense of adventure and sureness on their feet. You need to be able to swim. Some of the walks out of the canyons can really test your stamina, however you can take your time if you want to.
